Anyone got a fast easy "TRICK" to zeroing out a riflescope--The trial and error is doing nothing more than popping out garage windows and the MRS. is gettin pissed.Any suggestions?

Do you have a local gun club with a range where some one can help you?

Well the truth is this is an old Air rifle that I dug out for "PEST" control---My kids got me a LASER-SCOPE for my birthday and it made matters severely worse.

PEST CONTROL? Are the neighbor's dogs getting into your yard?

Set it up on a staionary stand that will allow the weapon the sit upright with out your support. As long at it does not move from that position, you can dail it in from there.

trial and error is your best bet with a bb gun. The ammo is plenty cheap if it takes a few shots. I'd probably load it and clamp it in a vise, pull the trigger, and then set the lazer to the hole on the target. Howerver a .410 or a 22 would be alot better at pest control.

They actually sell a laser rangefinder type thing (I cannot think of the name of them off hand) But it is a shell shaped laser that goes into the chamber. Set it up so the red dot hits the mark. then dial in your cross hairs right on the dot. works everytime. Check cabelas website I know they have them. ;)
OK I just checked in one of my catalogs and they are called Chamber Boresighters, there are a few diffrent ones called Aimshot, acu-sight, and retail anywhere from $20 - $200. A good investment if you ask me. (only takes one or two shots instead of one or two boxes of shells. )

He's talking about a BB gun...not a rifle...so that wont work.
Trial and error is probably the only thing that is going to work...

If it shoots both BB's and pellets, use pellets to sight it in. BB's are very erratic; no two go the same place even if the gun is clamped. Also, you want to sight it for the angle you will be using it at. If you are shooting at ground level for rats, the projectile will drop more than if you are shooting pigeons in the barn.

They have those ones that you stick in the muzzle and it sights it in.. or atleast gets it close. That may be small enough to work?

use pellets ther 3.00 for 250 they come in hollow point, wade cutter, round tip, pointed tip for accuracy. use to be in that sport untill i found this site. USe to unt rats in the chicken coop, killed around 500 till this date and they take care of squirls (sp) too. buy them at wall mart, k mart, unting supply store.

what i do is hold the gun in a vise and shine a light down the barle and put a mark on the wall ware the light shines(or just look down the barle and have someone mark the wall) then set the scope to the mark. this will get you a good starting point
