I called on 3 Honda trikes in the local paper last night and went out and looked at them before I went to work. He told me over the phone that one was a 200x with really good plastic, but the motor was removed and apart. (Which was the honest truth) The next one he said was a 250R but the motor was seized, really tough shape but complete. (Moron didn't know 250R's a 2 strokes and that the sticker on the side said 250SX) Now for the last one he said it was a 4 stroke 250, but didn't know what it really was. ( When I got there I saw it was a 83? air cooled R!!!) The plastic was in tough shape but the original headlight was still on it and it was complete and rolls over! Needs rings and a rebuild in a bad way though. Now like I said he told me they were ALL 4 strokes and kept calling the SX a R, not to mention a line of BS about a 900 Kawi bike he built that would do 239 in the 1/4 mile! So my question is what do think these would be worth if I bought them? Any insight would be nice!
Quick rundown of what they were so its not so confusing,
1. 86? 200X good shape, clean and complete, but motor is removed and tore down.
2. 86? 250SX complete destored plastic and seized motor.
3. 82-83? Air cooled 250R, Complete, rough plastic, motor turns no compression, but has factory head light.
4 All have almost new rear tires and fronts looked good as well. Need to know ASAP, he is holding them until this weekend!
Thanks in advance,

350 for me, the x might be worth it though if you want a good project.

That's a tough one - a little math and a little appraisal

86? 200X - if it is an 86 for sure - may be worth $400 , but why is the motor apart anyway - and are completely 100% sure that all engine components re there????

86? 250SX - non-running - $400

1st or 2nd gen 250R (81-84) complete, but not running - $400

that is $1200 for all, but that would take a pretty healthy budget to get them all up and running again. Is it an all or nothing deal or what???

i would say about 500.00 only because they sound like projects.

$500 sounds like a deal. i just bought 4 project bikes for $430. and the only thing they are missing are carbs and plastics on some of them. so i agree with $500. nothing more or else i would say its not worth it.

A KZ that does 200+mph without a slick or a wheelie bar, and NO2 :wondering I'd tell this fool I'm doing you a favor giving you this $500. Goodluck with the deal.

I'm up in the Twin Cities...let me know if you get these and would be willing to part ways with the 200X.

Alright thanks guys, thanks for the input, hes asking $450 cash for all of them so right in the price range. The 200x I think needed rings is why it was torn down. I may have another guy buying the SX and the R so I can afford the X. Thanks again.

I wouldn't trust a word this guy says, plan on rebuilding double what you are now and you'll be in good shape.
