Tried to get ahold of Miltech 2 months before TF to see if I could get a +3 updated "85 T3 swingarm for the KX500 conversion. Even posted here. A couple of you said that he was real busy and wasn't going to do anything else before TF. OK, I can understand that. Since TF I've tried a few more times, never a call or e-mail back. What gives?? Did he give it up? Is anyone else have a swingarm that thier waiting for?

GOOD LUCK! He still hasn't responed to mine either, and it's only been a YEAR!
Your better off not wasting your time and look for a local fab shop to make you one. Someone here is talking about doing a YZF motor in a Tri-Z frame and said that a TRX 450R swinger would bolt up with little on no modification. Not sure on that though.

Thanks for the interest guys but I (Miltech) am not making swingers anymore and haven't for some time. I've posted this a couple times and took down the website so I'm sorry if I haven't gotten back to you.

i am actually proud to own one.it held up well.i ran it for 2 years on my mx bike before even repainting it.it did develop a crack on each side, but so didn't my frame.i also bent 3 top shock mount bolts, sooooooooooo,i'd say it was good quality,i'm just hard on stuff.
wow,so am i the only one with one for a 250r?

What happened bud? I'm sure there is quite a bit of labor into each one of them. Were they just not profitable enough?

Time was and is a big factor. The guys that did order them had to wait an unreasonable amount of time. I'd have to tool up a bit more to make it efficient and there just wasn't enough interest to move to the next level. Shop space, or lack of, is another factor. Maybe when I get my new shop up I'll see if I can make a couple more. Right now it's just awkward all around for me to do. I did enjoy it very much though and a big thanks goes out to those that placed orders.

Did anyone ever get a '85 T3 updated swingarm, with the honda style carrier, from Miltech?

Nope. It was more like a concept. I'd need a T3 here so I could fab the new one up and I never knew anyone local with a T3.

That's a shame. Since I couldn't get one from you for my KX 500 conversion I was going to use one of yours, if anyone else had one, to build a fixture and save myself the time to reference the pivot point to the bearing carrier and what the carrier offset was.
I've got everything to get the dimensions from, except time. I wanted to do it out of 1.25" x 2.25" x .125 wall rectangular 4130.
Well I feel better now knowing that nobody's toes will get stepped on.
