I just installed a new throttle/oil pump cable and choke cable on my Yt175 and i cannot get it to start. It fires when i put some gas in the cylinder. It was sitting for about 4 months i think. Would the gas have clogged up the float by then? Should i clean the carb?
I had it running a few months ago for about 5 minutes.

Try it with the gas cap off----
If not there is a screen on the petcock and Clean the carb.

yeppers be careful when you take it off so you dont snap it. if thats not pluged up then put fresh gas in and clean the carb out.
