When I parted out my 86 TRX250R I got over $700 out of the motor in pieces! While everybody is touting about how much more brilliant they are than this guy, somebody is going to buy it right under their judgemental noses make a killing!!!!

If someone wants it and can arrange for the guy to meet me outside of houston (I dont want to wander around for hours) then For the gas I would be happy to pick it up. I dont have the money for the machine myself but there's no sence in it going to waste, there is some of a trike left in there.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe they would buy it if they were close enough. I definately would. You could sell the scrap parts(Frame/front end) To pay for a used frame and forks and get it back to normal. We weren't talking about what a deal it is, we were talking about his spelling and the conversion.

If someone wants it, I doubt it will take the BIN to get it. I'd be setting a snipe on it if it were nearby. I wouldn't bid high without knowing for sure that motor is solid though.

Still no bids. If it were closer I'd let it expire and offer him $200 afterwards.

Had a snipe in for $310.00...Surprised it went so cheap actually? We will see how good of a "deal" it is when we open the engine. I'm sending 2 of my "Goons" to pick it up Saturday morning...Stay Tuned...

I'm not surprised at all. I would have been shocked if it went over $350.

Good job. Should be worth every penny at that price. :beer

Heh, those cheap T3's have made me a decent amount of trike spending cash and I still own the holy grail from them (the westcoast swinger).

I'll let you know if another one finds me. ;)

I'm glad someone got it. I was going to get it for the motor & silencer for my R, but just didn't have the extra funds right now to take the chance that the motor does run. And the 3-hour drive to get it. :beer I was hovering over the bid button going to go with $402. !

Tecate4Life, glad you got it. Hope it turns out to be a smokin' deal.

Another plus would have been taking that poor molested "frame" to the junk dealer.

Jeb,

I thought you would have been all over it to keep that Honda or yours alive? Anyway I’ll go through the engine Saturday and decide to convert back or part it. Hate to part it? Maybe I'll "Hock up the wires and you got a screamer" but the ol' lady and 3 year old is screamers enough? " We will see if this sellers "wurd" is credible, my expectation is low...but I'll know where he lives:twisted: Stay Turned...

The "TexasChainsawMasacre250R" arrived back in Austin late last night. Upon inspection, post the 12 pack, it was clear that this mess has a warrior front end stuck to the R frame. I use the word stuck because his "welding technique" was like his second grade education, do I need to say more? I also reviewed a few camera phone pics that captured his beloved Tri Zinger conversion, and a V-max he made into a chopper, this man deserves nothing less than good USA Al Qaeda terrorist torturing, O.K. That’s pretty extreme? Anywho...this "thing" surprising has no rust and has more working components than non-working. I measured compression at 180 which shocked me, it even shifts smoothly? This "Quad" was obviously never operated because of the exhaust port is an inch and a half from the debacle mess of molten metal where Bubba "joined" the frames. Rear brakes were good and rear shock acted like it didn't need a charge? Electrical is there, minus lighting, Aftermarket skid plate and silencer were are straight and dent free? Rear rims and tires have no Rot and are dent free? Axel is straight, Air box complete??? More to come as I delve deeper.....:beer

Sounds like all you need is a frame and front end and you're good to go. :w00t:
