I am thinking about putting some paddles on my 350X for river riding. The river is really low around here. About 3-6 inches of water with long sand bars.
I have been riding my 450 Foreman lately, but I need more SPEED. Therefore, the 350X will be going next time.
Has anyone ran paddles for the river?
Will they hold up alright? and
Will they give me the SPEED?
Thanks,
dvalley

your biggest problem will be keeping the front from geting buried down

the paddles will get ripped up though if you do anything else, unless you get some 6 plys. then they will just beat the crap out of you on the trails

Do you think the 6 plys will hold up on sand, rock, mud, and the occasional crap you run over in the river?
Has anyone ever tried water riding with paddles?
Thanks guys,

I would think some good old wooly boogers would do the trick.

Get a set of the Rawhide Gen3's and turn them around backward. They work good in the sand. Not as good as sand tires but they last a lot longer.

You are in for a bumpy ride with the paddles. Till the trails and rocks and crap wear em down....

How long do you think paddles would last? Meaning, will they get chewed up quickly?
Do you guys think it's worth trying them out?

I'm sure a good mud tire would do just as well. Wolley Boggers are probably the softest tire you'll find for that.

I will hop on the wooley booger bandwagon as well. Not alot of guys like them but this is the 2nd set I've had and they preform very well.

Anyone tried runnign the woolies backwards??
I know it wouldnt clean teh tread to the outside like there supose to but, would they build up the sand underneath them and possibly sit it up in the muck?? Kinda Like baja claws on 4x4 trucks, running them backwards fills in the ruts they dig and you cna flaot lite trucks with them.

I see you are from Nebraska! What river are you riding in? Alot of guys that I go with just use there stock tires on their racers in the Platte river where we go, and they get by just fine!

I ride the Boyer back home near my Mom and Dad's. It is quite a bit muddier than the Platte but about the same depth.
My brother has an 05 650 Rincon 4X4 and my poochy 450 doesn't hang.
So I want to get my 350X to smoke that rig of his with a training wheel. I am sure the tires I have now will work, but I want the best possible.
