Splitfire spark plugs

What do you guys think of split fire spark plugs.

The original owner of my Quadzilla used these. I took it off the Zilla and put it in the R. It really feels like it woke the bike up.

Of course this could be my imagination. Also the Zilla with a regular BR8ES seemed blubberly down low...and my Zilla is usually crisp when I run that splitfire.

I seriously might order 3 or 4 of them and try 'em on the KTM 550 and the Tri Z!!!

I tried one once. I didn't notice any difference and it crapped out after two rides.

They are nice plugs. Some people swear by them in 2 strokes that they have a less likely hood of fouling. But I have never found a difference between them, NGK, and Nippendenso.

A good place to go is Checker autoparts. They usually have them for around $3.

I hate to be the guy that endorses a Split-Fire, but I ran one, yes one, in my 90 KX125 for about 6 years. Same plug. Never fouled. Ever.

Ran like a scalded dog the entire time. I'm not saying there was a performance gain by using it or even that the plug was the reason it never fouled. All I'm saying is that I had one plug last for 6 years and never fould or died. Take it for what it's worth.

My 350X is still running on the same NGK plug for the last 4.5 years.

My minivan still has the original plugs at 8 years and 135k miles.

My VW Golf ran on the same set of plugs for 200k of 300k miles it had.

So, who's to say what plug works best and if they're worth the extra money...not me.

I've had 3 ngk plugs foulout on me, I had real good luck with them. Its all in how you jet your bike, I jet mine slighly rich.
