I have never seen a gold frame on an R. Might be real gaudy, but might look really sharp too. It would match the swinger and wheels. then maybe hook it up with gold bars and a few other accents in gold as well. Maybe photoshop it first, but it would be different!

I say stick with red unless you're changing your plastics too. I think gold would look... well not good. It's a good accent color but that would be too much.

If you go with blue, just make sure it's a nice deep royal blue and not a light blue.

I used Rustolium Sunset red.

I love black, but nothing else on it is black! Plus black shows every spot of dirt!!! I also have no silver on the bike.......

I like the red personally. Next choice would be silver. Gold will look pretty tacky and I think you would get sick of it quickly.

Blue looks good until it starts to chip out. If you use just paint it will chip and if there is remnance of another color underneath it will show through.

There is a guy in Merrimack NH that powders frames for 250. Matched the Honda red with standard stock of in house powder colors too - no special orders. Thats if you have some extra ching.

I like bright red, heres a bone frame to work with in photo shop, this is epoxy paint, just as strong as powder coating, and done by myself, 35 bucks in this baby!

I thing a blue that matches the seat and fork boots would look good. It would make it different but not stand out as much as the gold frame. We know the red would look good but that would look like most other R's out there, do you want that (not that there is anything wrong with that)?

That's what I'm asking myself, do I want the same as everybody else (red), not that there is anything wrong with red........ I defiantly would like to have a photoshop pic of gold though, That way it can give me more of an idea if the all gold metals look would work, or be too much:rolleyes:
Thanks

not to rain on your parade, but epoxy paint is nowhere near as durable as powdercoat.

I'd stick with red, i think the gold will look gaudy

I bed to differ on that, Powder coat is easy and effective, but, BUT that dosnt meen it has that great of a durability, Ive had alot of powder coating done, and have only been mildly impressed, it still chips and scratches, no differnt than anyhting else i have had, ZI have epoxy painted manny things, wheels frame, motors and they have all stayed near perfect, its a personal preference, Powder coat is nice becouse its easy, you just take it somewhere and then pickit up, Epoxy isn't you must get the paint, mix it correctly then apply it (spray gun), then let addiquate dry time before assy, THis is not easier, its not hard for me as I custom paint cars, but for the average Joe, or someone who dosnt know how to spray it sucks,

and as for my R all the plastic is going to be black/ black tank/black seat

oh and the epoxy I'm talking about is Sikkens epoxy, not wallmart spray can epoxy

I have to go with Sykolincoln on this one, Epoxy is very strong stuff.

I believe gold would look great as long as you change the seat cover and shock covers to black. Black gold and red would look damn nice!
