Wellsville ride Laborday weekend....

Ok here's the scoop. I'm going to be heading to Wellsville on Sunday the 3rd for some trail riding. I can't take it any longer. Too much racing lately.

Here's my agenda. I'll be arriving on Sunday morning between 9:00am and 10:00am. Hopefully I can meet up with some of you guys there. That night I will be driving to Medina and getting a hotel room. Then 7:00am I will be pulling into Smith Road raceway.

Now if anyone wants to join me then great.

Shelly and I are planning Wellsville too, before Smith Road. We were gonna head up with Mr and Mrs Moshman on Sunday morning, but more riding would be better with us. I'll have to make definate plans between now and then, but we'll see you there.....and at the race. Hmmm - how do we get initiated into the OTC???? Maybe we could be dubed POT CAB (Pennsylvania - Ohio Trike Crew Associate Branch)?!?!?!?! LOL

yeah.you all should know(by now) that i am a wellsville first kinda guy. i like trails and hills more than any kind of riding.we like to soak up the whole weekend.if it wasnt for smith road,i would stay there deep until monday.besides,this may be the last year for wells.YEP.some coal mining conversion company from washington,has put a bid on a major portion of the wellsville land to build a 4 BILLION dollar facility.offical announcements will be made sometime in september.they could start the project as soon as jan 1st of 2007.it friggin sucks. we are about to lose OUR GLAMMIS of the midwest area. soak it up now kiddies. it may not be there next year:mad: :twisted: :( :(

It is $10 a day at our camp (Oak Tree) not sure how much it is over at forbidden zone.
Where is Everyone planning on camping/parking at?

Night riding, YES! There is a party around every corner at night (and day)!! You can ride all night long if you like.

i know another place in coshocton county to ride on new years.it will be closer for derrick and brandon and rick and dawn.hopefully the deal will fall thru.at this piont it sounds like a done thing :( anyhow.more on that later.derrick,if you stay in seville just off route 224-76,there is a best western there. you will only be like 10 minutes from the track.atc tim and wife shelly,rick, and dawn,are all crashing here sunday nite.so yeah maybe we can get together in seville for food and drinks.sound good? i can get you the number for the hotel.i think it is a best western hotel,or comfort inn.

Mrs Mosh, We are heading down Saturday morning, but I still havent decided if we are staying overnight, or not, and if we stay overnight, Im not sure where we are going to camp. We might just go to Forbidden Zone since its quieter for kids and old people who dont have much of a night life! If we did stay overnight, we would probably setup or trikes for MX Sunday morning, and ride quads on Sunday, because I dont really want to come home Sunday night and have to set them up. I guess we need separate track trikes, and trail trikes!

You are more than welcome to come and hang out at our site. However, our site is rather small. we do have some parking beside us but we would not feel comfortable being in charge of watching your trailer and bikes. I can't guarentee there will room at our site, but if you wanna cruise up and i would suggest, bring a long chain and padlock and lock your bikes down to your trailer to a tree. Since we will be out on the trails till the am, and prolly only at camp to eat and sleep, that is the only time we will be there to keep an eye on them. we have never had a problem with anyone messing with our stuff at camp before. we have left bikes at camp before but there is always a chance some *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**E dited* will go snooping around. We just don't feel comfortable being responsible watching someones bikes. wish we had a bigger site, but all of the spots have been spoken for.:(

What you are reading is kinda true. YES, this is NOT another rumor to the end of Wellsville. There is a coal company wanting to buy Oak Tree and build there. The town of Wellsville has purchased the old factory (down by the bridge) and i guess they have started building docks. This is a factory that takes coal and converts it to synthetic fuel. I understand the town of Wellsville is all for this. The owner of Oak Tree has been given a deposit to hold the bid on the land. There is a web page to read all about this BS, but this IS TRUE! It sucks! Now, the company is also looking at land in Ashtabula, but there was no info on the write up that we saw. They want that spot because of the rail bed and the river. It has been in the Wellsville paper. Rob has researched this and could tell you more about this.
As for Forbidden Zone, that i do not think is true. I know people who do camp on that side and as far as i know it is open. Our friend Troy is there just about every weekend and you can still get in. From what we read, the building of this factory will star in 08 and be completed in 2011, but i don't know if we will be allowed on the property once the papers have all gone through. I know, this is a huge kick in the pants. We do plan on going down again this year but looks like that may be it :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

Not sure where you got that. I've been looking at the weather channel every couple hours and they're saying only a 30% chance of showers for tomorrow, sunday and monday are clear as a bell!

Yahoo weather says up to an inch of rain, 60% chance for Wellsville Saturday, but nice Sunday. We had planned on going up to Forbidden Zone to camp, but if its muddy, I dont think I can get the big rig up there. Do they have open overnight camping at Oaktree, or is it just sites for the seasonal campers? I think The Mosh camp will be pretty full up.
