Are the swingarms between the atc and trx the same lenght? And will they they all bolt up? no matter the years? Im looking at a 89 TRX swinger for 20 bucks..It needs paint but it looks good..The guy says the trx swingers are 4 inches longer then the atcs...Is this true? I personally think this dude is full of it!! lol

God no...
The 88-89 TRX is 1 inch shorter that the ATC. The only "bolt on" swing arm is the 86-87. The newer swinger doesn't have the rear motor mount. It's a solid bar...see pic.
The 88-89 is also aluminum, so I don't know why you would paint it. If he has an aftermarket swing arm and you are willing to weld on some frame mounts, then 20 sounds like a deal, but it isn't a stock replacement.

yeap, just like chris said.i experimented with this setup last year on my mx r.it was horrible.way too much traction!i thought the tight turning radius would be great, well it was,but it wheelied everywhere.i have no idea how chris rides that big bore with that swinger....well i guess on the ice,it's ok,lol.
its a great looking mod, make the atc look newer, and was actually fun.i could burp up th gear wheeles like a 350x in 1st gear.
