My 250r has always had some moisture on the left side of the head gasket since my top end rebuild. Everything was very clean and the head was freshly milled. I used copper spray and retorqued after a few runs too. The gasket was a moose hybrid fiber gasket and it was a little stubborn sliding even down the studs.

I check my coolant and it has not dropped significantly and the moisture is not enough to drip. If you use a towel or your finger and wipe alone the head you get fluid though.

I have a brand new OEM three piece metal gasket ready to install but dont want to tear into my trike unless I need to.

Do you guys think this is moisture is harming my trike or my performance? Should I go ahead and try the OEM gasket?

Thanks

If you already used coper spray, and you made sure to apply it to BOTH sides of the gasket and the studs, that basically says to me that the gasket is bad.....

Try the OEM one, copper spray it before you put it on. If it still leaks you know for sure it's the cylinder or head.....
