90's XR600R......pics

Well I just got a killer deal on a early 90's xr600R. I was wondering what parts might be interchangeable on this bike. I am in need of an engine or top end, bar controls, wiring and so on (posted a wanted ad in classifieds). I think its going to be a nice build up process, if I can find the parts I need.
What do you fellaz think?

So the engine isnt complete? That sucks! Why is the engine still in the frame then? Im In the process of a restore with a Xr 250, and im amazed at how hard it is to find parts! Anyways, good luck with your project! =)

Well it is hard to tell with the bad pics I have of it. But it currently only has the bottom end. It seems to be ok but will need revampin if I just find a top end instead of a complete motor. Its going to be a slow build up, esp with the lack of parts on the market.

call salvage yards!! -in the back of dirt bike mags,and 3wheelers mags there are
a bunch of them--- and on the web
i didnt think 600 r's had rear foot pegs??
thought it was only the xl's??

Yeah these obviously were an add on to this bike, as they clearly do not go with this one haha.

he probobly just welded on the rear footpegs you can add them to pretty much anybike

well the 93 650L has rear foot pegs -so is that the bike you have??
you should find out before ordering parts

the frame looked like it had tabs welded for the fot peg mounts already. from the MFG. but those brackets don't look like they match to me.
