Saturday I was riding with some friends and we went past one of my friends houses, and stopped in to see if they wanted to go riding. Idk how i didnt see them before, but there was an 83 big red and a 81-83 185s, sitting out in the woods a few feet. I asked about them and the guy said 100 each. Man that was the fastest 200$ i ever spent!! I hauled off the 185s and we had it running the next day, and i sold it to one of my friends who likes trikes. It wasnt too bad, brand new rear tires, good rear plastics, but the seat was bad, the tank had a hole, and it was missing the front fender. But definately worth 100$!!!

The big red is even better. It is 100% stock except for like the sparkplug and stuff like that. It has PERFECT plastics, the original seat + cover with NO TEARS, the stock tires with lots of tread, all the stickers, the only bad thing is it was left partially uncovered so the headlight plastic is badly faded. It supposedly ran but the plug kept fouling and they kept cleaning it off and i guess it finally fouled one time too many and wouldnt start. Im gonna tow it home sometime this week, and if i can find my camera ill post some pics of them. :D

Well I went back over to mess around with the Big Red, get it ready to tow home. The seat is original, but its off a atc200, so it dosent exactly fit. The guy wasnt home, so we tore it apart in the middle of his driveway. The rear axle wouldnt turn, and it turned out one of the brake shoes had rusted onto the drum. One 14" rachet extension, a big hammer and 10 seconds later that problem was solved. :D The pull start needs to be seriously reworked, and the electric start doesnt work at all. Its got a 'custom' exhaust, one of the better redneck jobs ive seen (or lack thereof). The worst part is it needs a new frame, or this one needs a serious welding job. Just behind the engine on the right about where the footbrake attaches to the frame theres a ~5x5" spot where the frame has, well, discentigraded. I can reach around and stick my hand up in it.

We spent less then an hour playing with it until we got it to start, and I drove it around for a few minutes before it ran out of gas. Overall id say it was waaaay worth the 100$ -- especially the part about all the faces we get from the ways we think of towing them home with. :w00t:
