I love my 3 wheelers. Dearly. But I am just not comfortably jumping them like I am w/ quads. So I decided I just might have to buy one. Here's the ones I am thinking of:
Warrior- It can't do wheelies that easily, but it handles nicley, 6 spd, electric start, 400 lbs
300ex- Wheelie machine, awesome handling, 380 lbs, it's a honda.
Mojave- Same weight as the 300ex, dont' know much about them to be honest.
Can anyone tell me the power outputs for all the motors, and can anyone tell me what the winner would be out of these categorys:
*Speed/acceleration/topspeed
*Handling
*Suspension
*Riding comfort
*Reliability
*Price
*Overall
Any participation would be deeply appreciated!

I'd say just try and find a 400EX....... Since 450R's came out everybody has been selling their 400EX's because they want to upgrade. This is flooding the market and you can get a 400EX for just about the same price you can get a 300EX for. 300EX's are nice machines, but their power does begin to bore you after a while.... I own a 300ex. They're great for beginners/intermeidates who are learning how use a clutch. But somebody who has been riding would be better off just going for a 400EX, you'll thank me in about a year.......

Bassman, you looking at new or used?
Of course, I'm gonna agree with a 400EX, they are proven to be bullet proof, and the price will not be much above the other quads you listed, and the power is not even in the same category as the others listed. If you looking at used, you can probably pick a good 400EX up for $2500, especially since alot of people are selling em to get 450's.

Man I love jumping my R! it feals so much controleable in the air, I have had fast quads in the past, and I enjoy jumping my Trike more, but if you have to the 400ex is a decent jumper

Why would you want a Mojave? They're beginner sport quads: tiny, underpowered and heavy.

If you are dead set on the machines in your list, The warrior is the strongest but also the lazyest as far as handling and power excitment. I have been watching TRX 250R quads go really cheap on Ebay here latley (one went for 1500, and it was fairly clean). That would be a great machine. IF you can find a 400EX or maybe a Z400 for the right price they are both reliable and far superior to any of the quads you listed above. I have a DS 650 I'll let you have for 2K

I agree, maybe it was just the mojave that I was riding, but I wasnt really impressed with it at all. Reverse was cool and all, but it felt like it had less power than my brother's YTM 200. if you could find a used 400ex or z400 either of those would be real nice. good luck deciding

Can anything be swapped into a mojave frame with out much trouble? Like kx 250's?
possiblly a klr/klx 250 motor but I wouldnt put a kx in there unless you did suspension work, but on the other hand the mojave is pretty nimble in the woods, and most of the time picked up real cheap to, dont rule it out just yet

heres what ya do ... buy a quad, 450R, or whatever kind, as long as its a quad since you want one... chop off the front end, weld a goose neck on it, and put ATC 250R front end on it .... :Bounce

I just picked up a 01 400EX a couple of months ago. It has a full White Bros. exhaust, rev box, jet kit, K&N, and 11:1 piston. Runs awesome and I gave $2k for it. I probably could have gotten it cheaper. He took my first offer. I had looked for 3 or 4 months before I got the 400EX. I looked at Warriors and 300EXs as well. The 400EX is one of the best all around sport quads you can get in my opinion. Probably the best for the money....

Well the Mojave is out of the question, the guy wants $700 for it......it's an '87 doesn't run, been sitting for 5 years, one tire doesn't hold air, doesn't know the condition of the motor. Too me, its just not worth it when EXCELLENT looking '97 mojave rolling chassis's go for like $320 on ebay.
My buddy may sell his 400ex for pretty cheap to me, it has a tire leak, but he was talking about maybe 1400. I am thinking hard about it. Its like the first year they were out, yellow, completely stock.
