hey everyone, just wanted to post up a few videos of my friend on I "mudding" on our 250R's. I know, I know, they arent made for the mud, should have been on my 200s. When we left we knew it would be primarily an offroad truck event so mud might be possible, but we thought it would be more along the lines of trail riding and field racing, thats we brought the R's.
Apparently the truck guys wanted to see if trikes could play in the mud too. So we had to show them what trikes could do!:w00t: keep in mind, neither of us were running mud tires, my buddy Tom (herculesEngine) had 20" Holeshots and I had 22" trail tires. But we went through anyways and had a great time. By the time we left everyone had only good things to say about the trikes and asked us to come back again next time!:beer
Anyways, the 4x4 group is from www.ironworks4x4.org, and I included a vid of one of their trucks giong through the same mud spot. And as a disclaimer, I know this isnt a mudbog or anything like that, so dont think Im trying to say this is impressive, its just cool cause its a video with trikes. anyways, here ya go

Cool.
Just looking at your sig and noticed you have a CR480. Why don't you stuff that into the airfooler chassis?

I was actaully thinking of doing that, but I wanted to find another aircooler to put it in, so I dont take this one out of commission as my trail bike. I still have to rebuild the motor in the 480, but Im looking for an R to put it in, if anyone has any information about this swap I would really appreciate it!:beer

at least you were wearing helmets... No more jumping without a helmet here.
The mud is tons of fun. Great video. It's great to see an R do something other than the dunes, ice, track.

thanks guys, I had a blast. Yeah I was sure I would get stuck not having mudlites or something similar, but I was wrong:Bounce Haha, Darius I agree your R is a lot nicer looking than mine, so it wouldnt be right to abuse it like that.
The only thing I had to do was stop every about every 10 minutes or so and clear the mud from the fins. I didnt have any issues with over heating, maybe the water from the mud was cooling it? Either way, tons of fun and I hope to do it again soon

Oh...I did not mean it like that! I always get flak for being such a neat freak about my bikes...people tell me I should just throw a big bucket of mud on all of them.
On the KTM board...I really get hell for my dirt bike....its downright abusive at this point! ha ha!!

Hey man there is nothing wrong with keeping your bikes in good condition. I hope I didnt offend you, I just meant that your 250R looks so nice and clean that I would feel bad about getting it dirty. Its more of a compliment, I dont think my trike will ever look that nice. And that KTM 550 is awesome by the way dude:w00t:

haha, no no I wasnt offended at all, just wanted to make sure I didnt piss off the guy with the cool trikes thats all, lol. I dont have any more videos yet, but I know that there were other guys with cameras filming us racing down a straightaway a few times. It was raining it was all muddy and there was a ton of sliding, I really want to see how it came out.I keep checking the 4x4 site to see if they got put up yet, when they do I will definilty post the link over here. They are also planning on doing another ride soon, when they do I will get more video of trikes doing some cooler stuff. Thanks again for the interest!!!:w00t:
