I am putting this in Trikesylvania for obvious reasons--

I'll give you all the short version:

I am a Deputy Sheriff here in South FL.
Last night, I responded to an incident where there was an ATV stolen from a "warehouse". The owner was out of town and a neighbor called it in. Person(s) apparently broke in, wheeled a 2003 Raptor out the back of the property through the woods to a waiting truck that was one block away, and took off. The neighbor watches this, waits 10 minutes, and THEN calls. Yes, what an idiot- Anyway-

Now the reason for my post: I get there to help out with the crime scene, and to contact the owner to get information on what should be in his shop, so we can determine what was taken(we did not know if the raptor was the only thing stolen or what). This "warehouse" is acutally this guy's detached garage made exclusively for his toys. I go in there and am talking to the victim on the phone, and he heard it in my voice.
-------In front of me in this garage is an 87 ATC250 sx, facotry everything (even the tires) with Hondaline stuff all over it, an ATC110 that looked to be an 82, that was IMMACULATE, an 83 250 R that seriously looked like it had never been ridden, an 89 TRX 200sx quad that was in amazing shape, and a 88 suzuki quadrunner 160. That was just the older atvs. Then there was 4 80's dirtbikes that were hanging from the 15 foot ceiling, and trophies everywhere. There were lots of newer 300exs, and 400exs and stuff in there as well. What amazed me was that they were ALL stock. Like the guy just bought them and is letting them sit. Truly amazing. Not to mention all the late 80's kawi jet skis (first generations sit downs and stand ups), a 81 porsche 911, and off road chevy trucks.

I think I counted 11 atvs, 5 of them being true classics in excellent shape.

Let's just say that I am getting together with the guy when he gets back into town, both to get the serial numbers for the stolen bikes (they took a cherry 88 Banshee as well), and to BS with the guy about his toys. Maybe he'll wanna part with some???? Doubt it.

Just had to share that.

No kidding.

It is so cool to find someone who is into atvs and has such a beautiful collection. Too bad I had to find it the way it did, though.

What a sight.

better tell him to get a shotgun and start sleeping in the building with a couple mean pitt bulls too because the scumbags now know where all the cool stuff is and there is a 99 pertcent chance that they will be back

It sounds to me like the thiefs knew right where to go and what to take.In other words, they probably had been there before. Probably friends of the guys nephews or something like that. Hopefully they get caught before they can trash on the quads.
