my older brother lived in columbia and he said people would rewire their own stators but i dont really recommend that!

I've had nothing but problems with their Tecate stator and flywheel combo.

Same here. I went through 4! of their stator/flywheel combos on my tecate. The stator always ended up giving out on me while riding. Finally I just ended up going with the KX flywheel/stator setup. Some people have had good success though.

I too had problems with my stator. The magneto design is sweet.
I also had I think a kx 250 stator. But the whole thing was alot smaller in size.
And the magnets were bolted on not glued on.
