I am looking for a aftermarket exhaust for my YTM 200... the old one is a bit shagged and I would like to replace it.

Also, does anyone make seat covers for these bikes??

cheers..

I've seen both on Ebay, but the exhaust is really generic and the seat covers aren't listed amymore.

DG still makes an exhaust for the YTM, Cobra and Kerker used to but they are now discontinued. There are still used ones around so that might be an option.

I have one, the thing is mint. It needs a carb rebuild. The last time I rode it was last winter over Christmas, then put back in the shed, ran great. I was planning on getting it home all summer, just never had time. so next weekend it is. I have a bit bigger carb to put on it. Change oil, and filter. Needs a K&N air filter. The rear axle bearings have some play so they need to be replaced. I did the chain and sprockets a few years ago. I want to find another cam to send out to web cams, and have one made up. I might get new clutch discs just to have, before I can't get them when I need them. Oh yeah and it has new tires. I also have to get it registered.

Do you know how the clutch works in this thing? I take it it's like a regular manual wet clutch but when you pick up, or down on the shift lever that acts like the clutch lever, and changes a gear? Cause doesn't honda use kind of a centrifugal clutch in their big reds???

I have to get a manual.

Oh yeah and it does have a rear rack on the back, I will post pic's when I get it home!

Hey fox I see you did the hi- comp piston. Can you still run pump gas? How did that work out? more power?

I have the 10.25:1 so I can still run pump gas, the 12:1 poiston requires race gas. I did not have the trike going before the piston went in so it is hard to tell what the power difference is. It does seem to have alot more power then my Dad's YTM had but that was sold 4 years ago so it is hard to compair. The clutch is basicaly the same design as the Hondas use, you have the centrifical (primary) clutch and the regular (secondary) clutch.

What carb. are you using? I have not been able to find a bigger carb. that will bolt up.

The whole intake manifold on mine is different. The plastic one that was original was busted. At the time we couldn't find one, so a local guy who does a lot of atv/ motorcycle work found one that was from something else. The part coming off the head is cast aluminum, then that goes to a rubber boot which is clamped to the carb, and the intake manifold. Really it's prety sweet. I will aslo take pic's of that. The other carb I have is a mikuni off of a 440 snowmibile engine. I have to measure the sizes of both and if it is a bit bigger I will try to get it to work. I have to look if the one from the snowmobile needs a external fuel pump or not. If it does I will ditch it and rebuild the old one.

I still dont understand how the clutch works. Where do these dics play part in this whole operation??? http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=&store=null&catId=1&productId=p38253&leafCatId=11001&mmyId=6283#altImages

Thanks
