Ny Trikers,, Drags In Boonville Ny NOV. 5

The Cow Sh@t 500.. Its a non organized free for all, grudge matches all day.. Open to anything with a motor, they run the trucks and cars last.. All the sleds, trikes, quads, and bikes run first.. Last year there was about 500-800 people with about 300 of them racing.. It cost like $5 to get in and race with no prizes, the money goes towards reseeding the farmers feild..

Its about 1/2 mile off of route 12 inbetween Boonville and Port Leyden, you cant miss it there is signs right on Rt12 leading you to it.. We usually get there about 10am to get a good spot and the racing starts about noon..

Im in New Jersey working a nuke shutdown. I have heard about this ride for a few years now, I have wanted to go every year. I will make it next year!!

I guess what I'm trying to ask is what kind of tires do I need to run? I've got some nice paddles from when we went to Michigan a few times and I've got a bunch of other types too. Also, how long of a run is it?

its 500 feet... i run zippers for tires (like a pro wedge), but i see alor of people use paddle masters and nobbies and they both seem to work good

You might try the studded tires. If its grass or hardpack they will hook up tons better then the pro wedges in my experience with the 500R. If it gets loose though the pro wedge patterns (Zippers, 4Snows, pro wedge 2, ect) cannot be beat.

There is no way I'm ruining any of my studded tires by tearing up the dirt with them. Thanks for the idea though Billy. I doubt I'll be able to make it anyway but if I can it'd sure be fun.

well make another pair :) I studded an old pair of hole shots with sheet metal screws. Works pretty good.

Just look at the calender and the 5th is on a Sunday:cry: I won't be able to make it because of work, no time off left and they really frown on taking time off from this time of year with the holidays coming up. Will try to get some one to swap days off with me being limited to only two other poeple that does the the same job as me.

sunday, hmmmmmm. football or roadtrip? sorry guys i have to go with football. leaving for florida on the 10th so i dont have the extra cash to spend. would of been cool to meet up with all the ny riders, maybe next time. farmerc, get some nice pics and post up for us. besides my t3 isnt done yet and the blaster has the top end ripped off it for a rebuild and i dont think my kids powerwheels kawai would do to well. perhaps all us ny'ers can get togethersometime for ride somewheres like tug hill or something.

Do we have any results? How did the "litle 90" do Freak? Farmerc, did the overgrown Kawi make it out?

The lil 90 took it home for the one and only run I did. It was so damn muddy and sloppy I only made the one run and it took me half the day to work myself up to it because I knew it would take forever to clean it. I lined up to a nice worked shee a shock shee with pipes and a yammy 450 with a pipe, I killed them out the hole 6-8 bikes till 100-120 foot(I felt like Ronnie) and had them by 4-5 bikes till half strip after that I let off and rolled,, no front fender and no goggles dont work on a mud strip,, my eyes couldnt take any more after half way so I rolled threw.... It would have been alot different if it wasent so muddy cause they just spun for the first 100 feet but my wheely bar makes my bike hook no matter what ( ask Billy he couldnt believe the hole shot I was getting on his 500R befor the drags at TF)... I didnt take many pics cause of all the wheelers roosting threw the pits and didnt ruin my cam I only took pics of my buddy running his 1972ish duce and a half army truck with a newer Dodge he got smoked witch was no match,, but how offen do you see a duce anywhere letaloan draging... I'll put up pics later of it... They said it was about 4500 people this year, and it was nothing but rednecks and hillbillys tearing it up all day long..... Freaks

we bought 14 for parts
We love old military trucks but we dont dragem thats 4 shur
id take one to indiana but they barley go 55 and they drink fuel like nothin

wish i coulda made it out to that farm fest sounds awsome
woulda prefered a good weekend day
