Has everyone seen the new can-am renegade or the outlander. These are some of the best looking and most powerful atv's on the planet. A 800cc v-twin motor and more options than a chevy truck. Check out the site and please let me know what you think about the atv's and if you are looking at buying one.

Its just too much, For the price I could buy a chevy S10 or ford ranger. The things are freaking huge, like a truck with no cab. Did I mention the price? For that price I can buy a good used honda and a truck to haul it on, but that is just me, its your money.

The only negative I have heard has to do with the 4 wheel drive. If you put tires larger than stock, the 4wd actuator tends to release and drop it back into 2wd. Read this in Quad magazine. Mechanics interviewed stated that was about the only issue.
I have a 2005 700EFI King Quad 4x4. I love it.

I cant come to the terms that these quads are almost $10000 Im sorry I can go buy 10 used trikes and have more fun than that, and where I ride 4x4 would be a waste

Well thats your opinion. Has nothing to do with his question though. When you have the money for it.. its not a big deal. I use to feel the same way as you... then I rode one of these new BIG 4x4 quads after riding 35 miles on my BigRed at Trikefest. Day and night difference in the ride quality. I couldn't harldy move after that 35 miles on my BR. I rode my King Quad that far a couple weeks ago, and wast even sore. My KQ will go anywhere my old BR will go and then some, and get there faster, and more comfortably than my old 350X. Yes... It will smoke a 350X. This Bombardier/Can-Am will do the same. Now mine was not 10k, but it wasnt cheap. All depends on what you want. The old myth that a trike can go anywhere a 4x4 quad can go is just that.. a myth. I have seen that disproven. Enjoy your trikes. ;)
oh yea I agree with you clay IF i had the money I might own one, and I do In fact like those big quads, but I still can never justify 10000 to play with, especially a 4x4 with no racks, And I can agree with you on the ride Over a big red, And I know all these ginormous quads are fast to boot, But jsut not fast enought.
so here it is IF I had the money, would I buy it?
STILL NO, I would spend 2000 on a sick R and use the other 8000 to fead my child, and pay for my house and truck to haul my R around, oops and give you 80 for gas money Clay so we can go riding:w00t:

Looks like the styling of a kids quad and with a price tag of 10k it seems some people have just too much money. You can get some killer quads for almost half of that.

Yeah, I gave $5400 for my 05 King Quad 700. It had 300 miles on it and 60hrs. Plus 32 months of extended warranty. I sold two Big Reds and used the money I got out of them to pay for the KQ. So if you look at it that way. I have about $1200 in my KQ:D . Thats all I had in the BR's and I got $5400 for them:D NICE:crazy:
see and I like your king q clay and for 5400 you didnt break the bank, hell a few years ago I bought a 2001 x cab dodge ram sport with all the options with 19,000 miles for 12 k $2 g's more than a new quad I bought a extremely nice truck? go figure, If you bought a 10000 dollar quad would you be able to leave it alone? or would you start to pile in more money 500-800 for exahust 500-1000 rims and tires, and whatever else, you could build a wicked race 450 for less than that and have more power and possibly more fun, nope just cant do it, I may like it, but im not ever going to pay 10 for one, now if I hit the mega millions, I will buy everyone one for the hell of it

That 800 v twin was radared in one of the ATv mags (Gotta find the article to scan) but radared it did 90mph at 7800 rpms and it has 9000 rpms total. Now I hate radar readings in mags but this thing must be fast
wtf? no way wich mag, I have a new one that has a test of that machine and it says its fast but no where that fast, must have three powerbands on it, eh?

I read in Quad Magazine that it hit 90 or 95 mph, I swear.....saw it on the cover at work and took a peak. This thing must have great power w/ the V-twin and EFI and good handling w/ 4x4 but w/ that MSRP....only the richies are gonna go for it. I know I spend quite a bit on my quad but not as much as that can-am. They're just gonna keep bigger and bigger, down the road they will cost 20k + no kiddin !

Yeah, I thought 72 mph was fast. That's what the king will do.

LMAO, if people think being able to run 90+ MPH on a 4x4 quad is a good selling piont we're right on track for another ban. Say goodbye to quads soon too.

Thing is sure ugly. I sat on one a few days back and I like the suspension a lot. Really plush. BUT, its DAYUMN UGLY! The BRP stylist's should be fired. Would only spend that much on a quad if it was race ready. Hell, you can buy a race ready trx250R or banshee OR buy a pretty trick 450R! Too much money for her. Hope it does well though. Only time will tell.

The Renegade 800 that would do 90 mph is a specially tricked out desert racer to compete in the Baja 1000.

I have ridden the Outlander 800. It's no Joke!!!! They will rip....The same owner has a Zilla 500 and in the grass the Outlander takes it everytime.....due to the traction issue of course.....but still the power that BRP V Twin makes is sick and that auto trans is smooth as silk. From a dead stand still it will nearly throw you off...especially if your not expecting a quad that size to lauch as hard as they do...

Sure would love a ride on a Renagade, looks disgusting but I still like it. ( I think my 85 Tecate is sexy too!) It would be an awsome quad for my neck of the woods with our nasty rutted trails, mud and rocks. Its expensive but it looks like it will be the quad to have. I hope the big three take notice and try to compete with it the way they compete with their new 450's!!!! I'd buy the winner!!!
