I bought this bike friday 9-29-06, it is a bike that never sold and stayed in the crate for a couple of years and then I found it and bought it. It is a 2003 Yamaha YZ 250, brand new, never had gas or oil in it and got it for $3600. If you want a new dirtbike and don't have the funds for a stroker, ask the dealer for any leftover 2 strokes and they will make a smoking deal, because the strokers are the hot sellers right now. My friend found a 05 YZ 250 for $4300.

there are a few shops online trying to sell their old 2 strokes, look up all the dealers online, my friend that bought his yz found about 4 online, but shipping had it being a little higher than our local dealerships would sell them for. Let me know if i can help, my local dealer does have a 04 Suzuki RM250, he offered it to me for $4000, so they are out there, let me know if you find one. thanks

Guy I ride with found a 2003 ktm 250sx on ebay still new in the crate a few months back for 3300 or so, so I agree there are great deals to be found on two strokes, however I'm not sure how long this trend will last. I have read that alot of people getting on the new four stroke bandwagon are getting back off due to high cost of rebuilds, and maintenance that the new breed of four strokes requires. It definately isn't cheap to do a four stroke topend compared to a pinger

Personally I think they can have those 4 bangers. I love the quick response of the 2 smokers and will keep one for the woods anytime. Hey you need to think about a trip up to TN area as there are 4-5 of us that have bikes too. Heck you can even come up here and pick up that 87 red of mine too hehe. If my shoulder doesnt need surgery (thurs I will find out), then I will be ready to ride soon. Tis the season for 2 wheels hehe.

I might pick up a 07 YZ 250 this winter.....I get cost, 7 Grand Cnd i think it is......Nice bikes....Ill stick with the pingers, them guys can have there 4 jokes.

Thanks for all the post, Scott I will be trying to get a trip up for us to come up and ride with ya'll. Yes, I might have to take the 87 off your hands too. I did not know you were into bikes too, we will have no choice but to get a ride together. My trike sucks, let me know if you get that 07 YZ 250, good luck !

I put one togther today at work...They Freakin Rip.....More bottem end pop than last years....Boss got pissed when i shreded the nubs off the new tires on the asphalt....hahah
