I won the bike on Ebay for $299, went to pick it up and there was a lot of difference between the description and the actual bike. After he listed it the bike fell over(was stored on end) and broke the only good rear fender. I went to pull the recoil and the motor was locked up. He said it used to turn and I haggled $100 off the price and loaded it up. I got it home and went to put some penetrant in the cylinder only to find fresh wrench marks on the rusty plug. Tipped it on it's side and the jug was full of P.B. Blaster. I the stood the bike up to give it better look over and found the rear of the frame rusted out and a crack in one of the center cases that looked like it happened when it fell over. The shifter is welded on, all the fenders have cracks, the gas tank has a big dent with a little rust on the inside and all 3 tires go flat in a couple of days. On a good note I got it freed up, put on a good used carb and it runs really well. No smoke, plenty of power and goes theough all the gears. The crack doesn't even seem to leak (it's only about the size of a pencil eraser, more of a dimple really). The axle is straight and so are the forks. The front suspension even works so I figure I can get my $ back parting it on Ebay. It really is a shame because it has the factory tires with about half tread still left. I guess it just suffered from lots of abuse/neglect. I might hold onto the motor and look for a 200x roller to stuff it into. The really sad part is the seller kept saying" leave me positive feedback and I'll do the same for you". He's lucky that he doesn't get a negative out of this. Sorry for the crappy pictures but my garage is kinda packed right now and the front is blocked since it is all formed up to pour the apron tomorrow. Thanks for letting me vent.
