How would you make it for $45 and still make some profit for your time? And how would the text be on there? Paint or what?

Moshman and Mrs. Moshman on this site have been making pretty much all of our reproduction and custom seat covers very successfully for awhile now, and they do very very good, quality work. It is very hard to tell their seats from a stock seat.

I agree completely. Granted, the Mosh's are freinds of mine, so Im a bit biased, but their work was seen all over Trikefest, where they donated a bunch of it, they have contributed much to both 3WW and Trikefest, and they have a 100% record of complete customer satisfaction for both factory reproduction and custom covers. Even if someone were to offer me a cover at half their price, Id happily stick with the sure thing, pay twice as much, and be confident I got a quality product at a great price. Its a free and open market place, but selling seat covers along side the Mosh's would be like trying to sell baloney sandwiches next to a Subway.

The early 110 and 70s with the seams across and the first generation 250r seats are pretty hard to get to.

Not trying to rain on your parade man, but IMO theres a ton of people already doing seat covers...you need something slightly more niche that no one else is really into. Thats what I would be shooting for if it were me anyways...

I agree. There are a lot of self install covers out there already and then lots of shops will also custom make covers.

I dont know of anyone that makes a factory replacement cover for the 250r that says honda on the back and has the atc or 250r on the side. I always see the originals on ebay but they are usually torn or stained. I would be very interested in buying a 85-86 250r seat cover. Glenn O

Cosmic Quads does it exactly the way you're talking about. One piece vinyl, all the original logos and everything (http://www.cosmicquads.com/8401.html).

That's Moshman355 and Mrs. Moshman by the way. They're working on one for me right now. :w00t:

I with Tim on this one, the Mosh's do the best work I've seen, they've done 3 for me so far and will be doing every other seat I come in contact with. Its their specialty and they have perfect customer service, when I need something special I know they can do it.

Support those that support you!

Thanks to everyone who has written nice things about Moshman, the seats and myself. It is great to hear feedback. This is a great forum...This is why we donated items at TrikeFest. I would like to add, we do not do this to try and "get rich". We are trikers and like to see trikes in nice condition.

EastCoast,
If you want to try and do OEM replica seat covers without seams and stitching, we welcome you. At this point we have found no body in the market that can make an OEM seat cover, without the stitching and seams that you find in an aftermarket seat cover.

I've always thought the only way to get it truly perfect is to put the logos on AFTER the vinyl is installed onto the seatpan/foam. Is that right?

I've got an aftermarket one on my 350x that has seams and the logos but nothing lines up right. Don't know who installed it (was on there when I bought it). I guess it isn't terrible but nobody will ever be mistaking it for OEM.

Yes, you are correct.

That wasn't said to compete against you etc. I was just wondering if people here would be interested, in a few. I also am working with HMF engineering to possibly have a 350x exhaust system produced. None the less, for most all one peice covers, how are they made at the factory to get them formed that way a big heated press or something???

I have bought several items from Eastcoastatv and will be buying more items as time goes by. So I welcome you to get the seat covers, because I was just about to take 4 seats to a local shop and have it professionally done, but it ain't cheap and it won't have the honda logo on it, I was going to have a sign shop do the logo and i was going to install the logos after the seats were done. Please get the seat covers and i will buy 4 right now. Thanks

What is the latest on the seat covers??? I need to get 4 seats recovered soon and was just wondering if the seat covers are going to happen. If you are doing the repo seat covers, then I will wait and get the repo's. Also why did you change your ebay username to "Infinitycyclesupplyllc"?

Reason with the name change is there is a east coast atv in PA and orders and credit account where getting charged for eachothers orders on accidents with suppliers and each of us would get about ten calls a day for people thinking they were calling the other place. he had the name first and I let him keep it. I will be letting you know on the covers this week, hang tight !!

No problem, I can hold off on the seat covers. I just hope it happens, I would love to see some new repo seat covers. I will be waiting to hear from you. Also, I see the reason for the name change, I was just wondering.

Adam, from what I have been told me, at the factory they put them in some kinda heated press mold and press the seat/foam into the mold thats holding the heated cover. It forms to the foam and they do-it-to-it. I would imagine its hard to recreate. :beer

Hey Adam, what is the word on the seat covers? If it happens, are you going to sell them thru ebay for a buy it now? What all trikes were you looking at getting the seat covers for? I need 2 250es big red and 2 200s seat covers.
