Hello,
I have just bought my first 3 wheeler. I am 55 years old and I can not find any one who can tell me what I have, including the Honda Shop. I know it is a 185 frame, but the engine has been changed to a 200. The engine number is TB05E- 2010494. Easy huh? But the engine has either a kick starter shaft or a dual range shaft sticking out just above and to the right of where the recoil starter should be. I need to find out what it is that I have.
Any Ideas?
Thanks

A picture is worth a 1000 words. One picture and someone here will tell you what you have - from frame to fenders from gas tank to engine.
Do you have the necessary means to post a picture?
:welcome: by the way

I will try to get a pic of it up soon.
It has only a recoil starter that I can see, which is not there. I can't see anywhere an electric starter could go, no cables. The shaft that is sticking out is a little bigger than a regular pencil, I think that maybe it is a dual range selector. I thought all the Big Reds had electric starter. What had dual range, recoil start, with that engine number. I will get a picture of it up maybe today.

Is what you are seeing a splined shaft? Could very well be the Nuetral Indicator. It is in the same place that you described. Does it have an "N" cast into the cover beside it?

Yes it is a splined shaft. No there are no letters cast into metal. The shaft is small and could not take enough pressure to be a kick start shaft.. Like I said I will try and get pictures up later, even if they are off a cell phone.
Thanks

that small splined shaft is definitly the nuetral indicatoc. when you take the pull starter off you have to remove the white plastic knob. the n is on the pull rope housing.
the indicator is at the lower rite of the pull rope piece,

Thanks Jason85atc250R,
:p
So I guess it is a ATC 200.
Now I can buy parts for it.
What recoil starters will fit it. I need the housing for the starter and everything inside.. I need a complete recoil starter. What models will fit it ??
Where in texas are you located?

what size tires does it have 25" tall or 22" tall ?
the atc 185s and 200s models had 22's with a 8" rim and the atc185 and 200 models has 25's with a 9" rim
if it does not have front suspension (small looking forks like a dirt bike) it's a 1980-82 model year. the 1980's were a orange color.
for the pull start any year 185 or 200 from 80-85 will work.

THANKS again,
It has 22" tires on it . 3 new ones. It is a 185 frame. No suspension at all. Anything I should know about it? Any common problems? Where can I get "cheap" after market parts for it? What is a good repair manual?
