yz 250 ypvs.. will this drop into my triz

can any 1 tell me what year they think this engine is from please, and will it drop straight in to my 1986 tri z frame.

engine number 5x5-007129
6 spead
ypvs head
the numbers to me say its an 1982 , but with 6 gears and a powervalve ?? not so sure unless everything has been changed inside ?

YES that is a 82 motor.

and yes it will fit your tri-z.

but it is not a 6 speed only 5.

he did say its a 6 speed . can the 6 speed tranny fit in the 82 casings.
and did they do a ypvs engine in 1982 or is that just and add on ?

that is an 82 the had power valves and it looks "stock" beside the kicker i had an 82 yz250

82 and 83 look the same but the 82 reed cage is only 4 bolt and the 83 is 6 bolt. Other than that its just the head water pipe layout.
