This morning I walked out to the garage and guess what no 350x to be found!!!! After I freak out for 15 minutes screaming, kicking and cursing I go back in side to call the sherrif and there is a knock on the door. So I go to the door and there is a guy that works on the railroad. He starts to tell me that he had found something down the tracks under some tree limbs. The first thing I say is please please please tell me its a 350x 3 wheeler. The smile he had on his face went to a frown as he pointed over to his rail truck up on the tracks with my 350x in the back of it. He said 29 more day and it would have been mine. I kind of felt sorry for him. The way it looks some kids must have pushed it down the railroad tracks about a mile and tried to hide it. I dont think they could start it from the way everything looks. This afternoon I am going down the railroad tracks and hide out close to where it was found and wait for my little friends. I would love to put a beating on these little punks but I have decieded that I am going to make them tell there parents what they did. I think I'll take my camera and get a pic of there face when I start it up and jump up out of the woods at them.
If they happen to be over 18 then Im going to plan B ;)
What a way to start a Friday :beer

I was suprised to get it back. There was also a kx65 dirt bike, 110, 200x and the little 70 and the moto 4 that they didnt touch so I thought it was someone that knew the 350x was the one to take. But it looks like it was just probably some kids that thought the big one looks fun let take that. I hope they broke there legs trying to kick it. I'll be waiting for them this afternoon. Im taking off work early  It must have been several of them to push it as far as they did.

Congrats on getting it back!!!!!
Be careful with plan B, you dont know if their adults that might have the ability to tear you up, and dont take the bike, if they do beat you up, they might take the X when their done. If your going to do a stakeout, take a couple friends.

Yeah, congrats on getting it back. That is very rare that you ever get anything back. People that take stuff like that suck!@#$!!#. They need to go BUY their own. I can speak from the experience of having my house broke into about three years ago. I never got anything back. County came out an took a report, but never called us for a stolen property viewing. Idiots had one too, as we found out from our neibors that were hit. The only thing they got back was their quad. Later we found out there was a four county drug ring busted, and there were a lot of related breakins. Stupid druggies:mad:

Very good point! But I need to take the trike if it looks like I am getting in over my head that way I can make a quick escape or catch them if they try to run. I am pretty sure it was just kids but you dont ever know. I got a friend going with me his name is louisville slugger. He is a little nicer than my other two friends smith and wesson who I am leaving at home. There was really no harm done to the trike but I want to see who it was and if it is a bunch of kids I want them to face up to it and tell there parents or I'll call the cops. Its there choice.

If anyone came i would love to hear what happened then! I had a blaster stolen when i was 14 when some crack heads came up into my drivway, with my garage doors open, lights on and it was only 8pm! The rode it 3 miles pinned and blew the top end up and crashed into a ditch. But luckly when they tried to break into a house a kid heard it and chased them on a rapor 660 and held them until the cops came.

Not to rain on your parade...and I am glad you got the trike back...but why not just leave it alone.
Try to indentify the kids, get the sheriff to press charges.
You can't go beating up people who take your stuff...you could get sued or worse beaten up/killed by thier older friends, etc.
I think you should let the sheriff handle it and secure your garage so that no one can get to your bikes. How did they get in there?
Anyway...once you act...you can't go back. Just think about what you are doing and where it could lead you.

I agree about reporting the theft to law enforcement. You don't want to hit a minor or you will be the one in trouble with the law.
I have my trikes under my carport inside a 6ft. privacy fence with a locked gate. I also have my utility trailer backed up to the outside of the gate within about 10 inches.
I also have the best protection from theft of all. One 80 pound Olde English Bulldogge (not AKC fat kind) and his partner, an 80 pound Boxer. They both hate strangers. If someone can manage to get past those two, then they can have my trikes.

Well, IMO, I would go down there with a friend, and take the trike to where it was hidden, and wait for whoever comes back for it, and when that happens, subdue them and call the cops. Either way, wether you decide to do that or not, I would definitely take some precautions to make sure this doesnt happen again. First of all, I would chain up those bikes to something solid, and when youre not riding them, remove the spark plugs and put them in a special place. At least that way, who ever attempts to steal them is going to have to be pushing them a long ways. I would also make sure that your garage is locked, and I would reccomend having a dog with a least a good bark. That will at least deter people from approaching your house. Well, good luck to you, and I hope it doesnt happen again!

 Thats awesome!!! I love boxers. Our old boxer was the sweetest girl in the world until you crossed her. I never even heard her growl until my aunts husky picked on her one to many times. She destroyed that dog!

Update..... For all of you worried I was going to go on a killing spree Chill out!!! I was never going to go beat any kids or anyone. I was only hoping to catch those responsable and if it was some kids just have a talk with them and there parents. The was no harm done to the trike. Yes I was pissed off but I have it back and there is no damage.
I did go hide out and waited and waited but no one showed. After about a hour I realized that all the kids were out of school  Its fall break school is out  I'm sure by the time I posted this thread they had already realized I had it back. I have no idea what I was thinking both my boys were out of school and in Flordia. It's kind of funny now to think about me out hiding like that for nothing.
Locks and chains, sign's and fake video cameras are going up :beer
man yo ucan get reall vidoe camereas for cheap now!! I plan on getting one soon to pan my whole shop area
