Okay I just found a 85 klt 250 at the swap meet, before jumping into it for his $350 asking price I figured I should ask the pros here. I usually buy and sell hondas This thing has the rack in the back, the plastic is not cracked but pretty dried out. seats been wrapped in vynle. tires are decent even has a speedometer. seller said it would start but die, it had a dead battery so he couldnt even crank it. I got his phone number, and told him Id do some research before Id call him. Thanks, and if anyone here is interested I could get you his phone number. Jim

I got mine for $145 on ebay. almost a basket case. Bad plastics (real bad) and water in the carb bowl. 1 tire mis sized, and in dire need of a rebuild.
but, i hate to see a cool machine like that rot... thats a couple projects down the road.
If the plastics are good and you dig the bike, and have the money, then i say go for it.

If you are looking at buying to and reselling to make money then I would pass. If it is something you want to ride it sounds like something worth getting as working on.

I paid $75.00 for my KLT200,there not real popular but I like mine lol.
There pretty heavy too, kinda like a tank lol!
An ATC is lighter and alot easier to get parts for and the resale is good but like Junkrider said,if you like it there a good solid trike!

Im redoing a 85 200X, Im to the point of ordering a rear fender. Just did the clutch, and cable, new front tire. uni filter, seat, this thing doesn't smoke, headlight works, shifts great, both brakes work, only other thing one rear tire is a chen shin and the other is a nanking, even though they are the same size on the sidewall, when you measure them one is about a inch taller, Do you just live with it or replace one with a matching tire?
