LT 230 Suzuki

I had one given to me today. Needs some work but seems to run ok. The only date I can find says 7/90, does that make it a 91?

no it makes it a 90, made in july of 90. maybe you could consider it a 91 being made the second half of the year. but i would consider it a 90.

Is it the 230S Quadsport? Or the shaft drive one?

It's chain drive, the pull start is broken off and it has no battery (it's in the wife 250sx), but it runs. The carb has a plunger in it thats broken off, parts diagram says "PLUNGER ASSY". Don't know what it does but I guess I need one. I guess for free I can afford to spend a little.

looks like what you have there is a quadrunner lt 230 e. looks like the words quadrunner on the side and 230 above it. that plunger is more then likely the choke, and yeah ou should just get a nice new caarb for it. some fenders and some other parts that could be a nice looking bike. congrats. for FREE!!! why cant i find these deals huh?

Yea that thing is a roller.. can't ever argue with free. Assuming the motor runs.. getting the carb issue straightened out, that thing probably a runner eh?..
