Just wanted to say hey, and what a site this is I never new there was so much information. Well, I had a few questions first off I have a tri zinger, and I have a open air filter. I have been messing with the carb for a little bit and at first I didnt think I would have to rejet due to just a open air filter.I dont no why I thought I could play with the settings and get it to run right. Oh yeah, and I drilled the exhaust even more air flow. Well I have come to reality and I am going to rejet.
My question is if anyone knows what jets will work, or if I will have to go get ones specifically for the Tri Zinger? Also if anyone has had these modifications, and if they ended up having to replace the pilot jet?

My next question is I just bought a 85 Tri Moto 125 for a $120 it is almost perfect exept it doesn't run lol. Well I figured out it wasn't getting fuel due to a bad petcock. The next problem is that the pull starter was yanked out. So I went and winded it back in after winding the coil many times and what ya no it gets stuck. So I finally figured out the coil gets so tight it pulls away and dont stay still. Probably because the coil has been broken and rewound so many times, and has got smaller, or there is supposed to be a hook on the end of it? Also, does anyone know if you can use another coil off another pull starter or do I have to get Oem? Thanks for any help, great site, and sorry for the long post

As for the trizinger jets, that is a hit and miss type deal. Everyones location is different and it makes jetting different. Have you purchased the dg nationals pipe for it yet? Also running boysen reeds will help. Make sure the have the larger of the 2 exhaust gaskets, the smaller gasket is more restrictive. I ended up having to order larger jets at my local yamaha dealer and I picked up the larger holed exhaust gasket at the same time. Make sure your carb is super clean or else your rejetting will be 10 times harder. You can only get the carb rebuild parts at the yamaha dealer also. The dg pipe is really nice when you put a better air filter on, the stock pipe is very restrictive and the dg pipe looks and sounds a whole lot better.

Thanks for all the info. I am going to pull the exhaust off and check the gasket on the Tri Zinger. Did any of them come with the better gasket? I quess I will go order the carb kit. I hate having to order stuff I am to impatient. I drilled out my exhaust for now it sounds 10 times better, and flows alot better, and even sounds meaner lol. Thanks again
