Going to the Dunes???

Anybody heading out to the dunes over the weekend before Halloween? Looking for advice here.(Newbie).Thinking about Glamis or Buttercup areas.Thanks! Bill in Az...:)

Come on guys.Needing some info here.Is it true you have to buy a permit to camp? Also a seperate permit for each bike? Not sure what to do here.Thanks :wondering

I was planning too but some things came up. Azhondagrl was also planning to go to buttercup but had an accident so she's not going. I think AZ250R is still heading out that weekend. Not sure which dunes he's going to though.

As for permits, you need a CA sticker for your bike. You can get them in town at a lot of local bike shops for $20. I think they're like $30 at the dunes.

You also have to buy a camping permit when you get there. I think it's either $25 or $30 for a single weekend. I usually get a season pass for $90.
