86R hpp powervalve?

do any of you know what it takes to run a old CR 250 powervalve jug on my 86 ATC ? and is this even something i should do?

a member here has done it and it is alot of work, you need the waterpump assembly and the front part of the clutch cover that the waterpu mp is in off of the CR and then you have to customize, cut and weld on the CR waterpump deal onto the 250R side cover, if you do all of this right it will work exactly as on the bike. but if you just want the advantage of the CR jug's advanced porting, you can get a plug kit from ESR250.com, i have this deal on my drag bike.

do any of you know what it takes to run a old CR 250 powervalve jug on my 86 ATC ? and is this even something i should do?Just to bolt it to the bottom end, you'll need the CR's longer rear cylinder studs, CR250 piston, an adapter for the exhaust flange, and slight modifications to the radiator-to-waterpump hose. Then you'll need to do something with the powervalves.


...if you just want the advantage of the CR jug's advanced porting, you can get a plug kit from ESR250.com, ...I never would have guessed that ESR would offer anything like that for CR cylinders. I thought it was only FTZ that dabbled in the CR250 cylinders for ATC's/TRX's.

well i read up on it and it is not something i want at all.

to much work for me. i would rather just go bigger when the time comes . like 295 or 310 or 330 .

whatever i find at the rite price .
