I am going to have to ditch the air box on the YTM 200 when I put the suspension kit on it which means I will have to run a clap on air filter. What is the difference between the foam and paper filters?

K&N's flow more air. Uni's supposedly filter very fine dust particles better.

Dammit's right. That's what I've always heard. Whenever available on my rides (can't find a K&N for the Red) I always run K&N. UNI's are supposed to be alot better filters in the sand. I never run sand, so K&N is my first choice.

Actually K&N's are preffered for sand. Sand generally is not all that dusty. Dust particles are way smaller than grains of sand.

I've run in some of the dustiest conditions imaginable with my K&N and have never noticed any dust on the inside of the airbox boot so I'd say K&N's do a fine job all around actually. Just got to make you sure you oil them correctly (from both angles).
