I already have front fender, shrouds,PRM grab bar, headlight garnish so its well on the way to a re-build the price was very reasonable for its condition so im pretty happy and yes i agree not too many of them here in Australia.
Sako where are you located ?

Its a Toyota Hilux 4x4 dual cab(4 doors hence the shorter tray) i did see similar trucks in the US back in June but they were badged with Tundra or something like that ??

We had one of those trucks along with our landcruiser 90 series. Its a Toyota Hilux 4 door. Ours was a 2.8 turbodiesel 5 speed manual with dual batteries, snorkel, no lift, roo-bar, hoodie-rack, and a few other odd's and ends. This truck was a good beater lol compared to the landie 80 series turbodiesel LX with a lot of good things including a lift. The landie was good for long trips but this one might have been good i dont remember. I know we took a trip in it from Perth to Adelaide(sp?) but then again, we took the landie cross country billions of times so who knows. Here is a good pic of one from the internetsssss:

http://www.guernsey.net/~cccars/1991%20Toyota%20Hilux%20double%20cab.jpg

that has the wanker bar up front, more or less the america bar. A ROO-BAR takes up the entire front bumper and replaces the front bumper. None of this little bolt to the bumper crap!

Here's a good pic of the landie we had, not ours but looked exactly like it but with a rack and a sunvisor on top:

sorry to take the thread away a bit lol

NICE trike by the way.

Great score!!! looks like its just about all there. We will have to start an 87 T3 club;) Mine is in storage most is apart and the restore probably wont be started until next winter. I have just about all I need for it except the time to do it with a few other projects in line first. :(

Do you guys have ANY access to old T3 stock over there??

Tecate parts here in OZ..... hmmm let me see

I've been a trike nut since i was twelve (many moons ago) and I've seen three Tecates 3s in the flesh in my life. Two 87s, of which Ironically I have owned both, and once I saw a new 84/5 Tecate in a dealership in Perth in the eighties.

I have heard of two others. one in Newcastle and one near Melbourne (seen a recent picture of that puppy-did you know that Aussie?). I have also spoken to a guy who said he imported a heap to Australia in the early ninties.

As far a parts go, you would be lucky to find any. 86/87 Tecates were never sold through dealers in Australia but due to the imports I would estimate that there are more 86/87 Tecates in Australia than there are 84/85 Tecates.

I would love an 85 Model to keep the 87 company, but I would have more chance of finding a snowflake in hell. My aim is to find an 85/6 250R next, or a Tri-Z. Ive always like the look of those Tri-Zs, just never been in a position to buy one.
