This is currently the next pending race I'm hoping to make. My 250R is in pieces right now but I'm pretty confident I'm gonna have it back together in time to make it. Heres a link to the event on the calendar: http://3wheelerworldforums.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&day=2006-11-18&e=32&c=1
Who alls in? We need 3 trikes for our own class! If your wanting to race but are missing a part or some gear or whatever let me know and I'll help ya out however I can. I wanna see some trikes on the track come the 18th of November!

Man that'd be great! Hit me up with whatever questions you have and if I dont know I'll get you in touch with the guys running the league and they'll get you fixed up for sure.
hey conig if you take hwy 122 out of thomasville, it will put you abotu 6 miles away from the track when you go past barney ga, real easy to get to, I only live about 10 mins from the race track

im talking about the 18th, its in valdosta right? or is it north, I planned to take the interstate but I can go that way (after paying my thomas county speeding ticket)
main quastion is regarding brakes, I run rears only on my quad and don;t have a tether. I plan to run knobbies but all these races are so close ill probable get tires for the future. I have a set of struts that drop me down 6 inches. _3 inches off the ground in the front. alos any noise limits my bike is loud.

The race on the 18th is in Valdosta right off of I75 from what I understand. No noise limits that I know of. If your on a quad you'll probably need to go ahead and get flat track tires all the way around. They had kind of told me if it was a trike they could possibly make an exception because there are ZERO flat track tires available in an 11inch rim for the front, but with a quad I think your going to need them. Tethers and nerf bars are not required yet but I'm told next season they will be.
You should probably go ahead and get ahold of one of the league guys and see what they say. Dave Ware: hillkiller@earthlink.net Or his Brother Chris Ware: wareracing@earthlink.net either one can tell you for sure on the tires or anything else you need to know.

Forgot to mention, checkout the racing scene at ATV Florida http://www.atvflorida.com/forum/index.php/board,12.0.html and the SFTL sub section too. Its got directions to all the tracks and other stuff like that.
man conig your SO GOING OUT OF THE WAY on the interstate, better go 122 outa thomasville (only about and hour and a half then, it will be more like 2hrs+ taking the interstate, thats jsut craxy talk man!

man only places I go in Georgia are Hiawassee clayton area(almost north carolina) macon, atl and albany and surounding areas to ride...what do I know.
I was looking on there site and it said for those that have not flat tracked before knobbies are ok, I also have a set of 20-9-8 kenda tires/wheels I can probable borrow of one of my dads trailers if that would be better. it will take me like 3 minutes to get off the line then.

From the SFTL site:
Tires: Front and rear flat track tires are required to race in the Open class.
For the Intermediate, Novice, Ladies, Youth and the Peewee classes
Knobbies are allowed only if the hosting track will allow it. However, flat track
tires are preferred in all classes.
I dont know for sure about Valdosta but Ocala and Jasper are definitely out for knobbies.
the guy at jasper said I can run my front "worn down knobbie" I showed him a pic

ok now I get it, what is your opinions on the duro 247? can I run knobbies up front?
I plan to put the rears on a ten by ten inch set of rims I have on my red.

Duros will work. I have a pair for my Z. Their kinda heavy is the only downfall but its not that big of a deal. I'd email Chris or Dave for the front tires, but I'm pretty sure that if your on a quad yes you'll need flat track tires in the front too.

i liked them for dragging on flat ground but in the sand my frame would hit the ground. i could pitch it any way I pleased even with paddles though.

Wish I was closer, Sure would be fun racin with you guy's. I ran some Duro's at gallion Ohio last year & they worked out good. I wonder how some American Racer's would work. Don't know If they would be to sticky & not want to slide well. Gallion It like fly paper, so duro's worked good. I'll be watching for some race result's & Pic's. Have fun down there.
