View Full Version : neat idea for choke lever
I did this on my 85 R since my carb (huge mikuni) uses a plunger type choke on the right side that i would never be able to choke, kick, and start, I got this ASV non breakable clutch lever with hotstart on it off of ebay for about 40 bucks shipped, and damn if its worht it it works awesome for a choke lever and looks great to boot! I made my own cables for my choke from a bicycle cable repair kit from wallmart for 5 bucks. so if you want to make a clean looking clutch/choke setup this is the way to go!

This style of choke was used on the old Kawasaki H2's (3 Cylinder 2-Strokes). Nice work on the fabrication though.

I was actually thinking about doing something similar for my 200s for the compression release. if my 200s had higher compression making me need the compression release more, I would probably use a stock 400ex clutch lever and hook the parking break cable up to the compression release lever on the head.

Good idea, and great job.
hey guys, no fab here!! this is a stock lever for a new CRF250 motorcrosser!, the only actuall fab is the cable for it, other than that it was a bolt on deal, really cleaned up my bars with it, next I want to add a billet throttle, and billet brake master.

how did you hook it up to the carb?
well I dont have a stock carb, mine is a 40mm mikuni that has the choke plunger on the right top side, It uses a cable that runs into the carb, I just cut a cable to fit crimped the end and walla choked it and ran!

Hey syko, reed spacers take away from the working compression of a motor therefore mellowing out the hit. Its costing you HP.
I go with what my engine tuner tells me to run, he wins races so I listen.

I like it. I may have to get one for my 350X & hook it up to the decompression, since I got a Goki on it.
