350x Speedo, again [Archive]

I would like to get a speedo for my 350x, and I've seen several posts about getting the NOS kit for them, how rare they are, how expensive they are, and how cool they look! Anyway, I would like to just get something cheap and digital, kind of like a universal mount for it. It would help out on the trails when speed limits range from 10, 20, and 30mph. Also, it seems like the stock ones are in km/h and only hit 100, which is 62mph, slower than a 350x stock.

Anyway, anyone used an aftermarket one or any other type other than NOS and had good luck with it?

is the gear drive on the front wheel? thats all i have of a speedo on my 350x

Hondaline OEM speedos are rare and expensive, specifically for the 350x and liquid R's. I don't know how much I've spent on all my speedo material, but it's way too much.

A GPS unit is probably one of the cheapest ways you could go, just get one of those little handlebar adapters and you'd be good to go.

Looks like their new ACE3100H which fits all ATV's except the drum brake, and shaft drive ones, is 149.99. That isn't too bad, but I could probably pick up a stock one for the same price. I do like the built in tach, trip, clock and a few of the other features.

I will probably end up going with this.

a friend of mine bought the service honda speedo for his 450r i do not know if it would work on a trike but i do not see why it would not..

you can find the atc speedo in mph though. they are expensive .. and then you have to buy the geardrive for it and thats the hard part for the 350x..

You can still get the red faced ones for $50-$60 new fron Honda. It is the old black faced ones that are expensive. I will be useing one of the red ones for my trike since I am not doing a resto.

Part # is 08E80-HC4-100 I believe. I have not ordered one yet but others on the forum have. That is just the head though, not grive gear, cable or mount plate.

service honda says that a gear. and another source has a part number 08E80-HC4-0001 as a "CABLE ASSY SPDMT" can you remember who else got one so i can check with them.
