I took my clutch cover off because Im replacing the one crank seal. I noticed the kick starter gear is grinding the case. I cant seem to pull the gear off..is there a trick to it?

And also the primary drive gear wont come off either, I have the nut off but the gear wont even budge.. any ideas? thanks

Check out my trike hoist/work table. It has 2 heights for the legs, storage and work table height...its pretty slick.

It kind of looks like something came loose in there. The gear looks like it hasnt been nicked up at all though... Did the spring come loose and rub the case maybe?

I got everything apart, new crank seal in primary drive gear back on...thats good.

Got the kickstarter gear out...It was wedged in there by a tang that broke off the case..

I think this happened when I was trying to get the clutch off before I bought my electric impact, I tried using a breaker bar and it was just putting stress on everything. but yea...Now I think I f'ed it up...I going to see if it will go back together tomorrow and work.

all thats for is to hold the spring, you can see on the spring the tab that goes in there, see if that tab will go in there still? if not you can have someone that can weld alum. build it up a little.
