Hey I'm new here, hope this hasn't been asked before. I did a search and didn't really see anything.

I'm looking for Roll Design pegs or something simular<(sp) for a '85 ATC. Is there some pegs out there that have the same bolt hole locations?

I have heard conflicting information on the 85s. If anything is going to work its the 86/87 TRX IMS Roll pegs. I have an 86 and they just bolt on but for the 85s I hear that the mounting plate might be different or something. I say buy em and worst comes to worst you just have to send em back.

I'm running 86-87 TRX roll design pegs on my 85 flat tracker. I've also heard that the peg plates are different and where the peg is held on with the pin is different from the 85 to 86 ATC. I don't know if mine already had 86 plates on it or what but they went on and seem to work good.

85 plates do not work with 86 pegs. basically 86/87 200x, 86 350x, 86 atc250r, 86/87 trx250r all take the same pegs. 85 pegs are narrower and the plates can't accept the wider mount. I have 86/87 trx250r roll/ims pegs on my 86 atc250r(86 plates), 86 200x and if Iresored my 86 350x was gonna put them on. You can spot wheather they are 86 plates by looking on the bottom, if they have a hole in the bottom and its about 2" long, its a 86 plates, 85 plates don't have a hole in the bottom and aren't very long maybe 1". Send me a pic of your plates without the pegs on, I can tell you if they are 85 or 86 plates.

So if you buy a set of 86/87 trx pegs do they come with the plates that you need or are you just screwed if you have an 85?

basically you need to have a complete 86 setup for it to work.

Those Roll Design IMS pegs. Are they based on the sping loaded pin design that you find on Motorbikes?

The reason I ask is that the 86/87 Tecate 3 has this type of system on its pegs. Does anyone know if they will fit a tecate?

Deathman could you post some pix please. Do Honda pegs fold back and up at about 45' or once fitted are the IMS pegs non folding?

The IMS pegs still fold like the stock ones do.

Thanks again for the info. I took the pegs off my '86 trx and tried to put them on the '85 atc and what I found is that the holes only misaline by 3/16 of a inch. So if made one hole oblong slightly I think it will work. Has anyone tried this?

I had them on my atc250r, I didn't like them as it raised the peg up some(about 1"). I stuck with the atc mounts.

Is that with the roll design pegs on a '86 or modified for the '85?

86 trx plates and roll pegs, I like the 86 atc plates and roll pegs better, as with a trx plates the pegs were about 1" higher

Are plates something I can buy and bolt onto my bike, or is that the bolt holes for the pegs?
Thanks

the plates bolt to the frame and then the the peg sits in the mount, then you put the spring and then push the pin from the front to the back.

Is the pin slightly angled so when the peg pivots it pivots up and back?

Would someone please take some close ups of there honda or IMS pegs

Thankyou

Could someone post pics of 86 r mounting plates?

I am looking to buy a set but I cant help people sell them if they dotn know what they are.

So either a pic of both the 85 or 86 r mounting plates would be great.

Ill give this a shot, if not ill make a new thread.

Thanks,
Mike
