.... for this 84 200x. im thinkin about selling it, but i wanted to get a good idea on how much i can get for it... all of the mods are in my signature... the engine is basically new, freshly rebuilt (new crankshaft, piston n rings, gaskets n stuff) but, i guess i didnt get it timed right, i followed my manual step by step.... im pretty sure its the timing for the cam.... the fenders have a crack in them which you can see on the right side of the rear shot... ive also got 2 sets of rear tires, they are smooth, but you could use the rims, also a set of from tires for a quad, not sure what, but i was wanting to mount the tire on my front rim... anyway... tell me what you all think

Its a very good lookin X. Why not get the timing straight then sell it. You will definitely get a lot more for it.

Is that my twister? Man youve been working on getting that done, and now you want to sell it?

Its really tough to say, I think if you were really serious about getting some cash, you should get a new lever for it, remove all the none stock stickers, and......well just clean it up reeeaaallll good.

The bike looks really good. Other then the crack, are the fenders nice and smooth, or rough and scratched? I would start around a grand and work my way up depending. Real nice looking X though. Good job.

yeah, thats your throttle, lol.... i was planning on removing the stickers, and cleaning it up better... and as far as the fenders go, they're mostly smooth, there are some spots where there are some light scratches, but nothing deep..... the only reason im wanting to sell it is because im really looking for something a little more powerful.... more than likely, a quad (i know, i dont like being a sellout either, but dont worry, i am by NO means leaving the trike world)... i might even consider a trade, ya never know!!

I can understand the power issues. If I were you, I would work my hardest to keep the X, and pick up another bike. Its always cool to have some options when you want to ride! Im just in obsessive mode right now though, just about to finish the Z build this weekend, but picking up an R this Thursday! shesh!

Cant stand it, I want to keep everything I can find. Their only going to go up in price, and get rarer and rarer. If the prices goes down, Im going to need a bigger garage!

Good luck.

yeah, i'd love to keep it... but college/ is expensive, lol... so its either keep it or buy something else and get another one later on... ive only got one semester left after december, so when some real money/starts coming in, i can start a trike collection... so a grand huh? im thinkin if someone offered that.... id jump on it in about half a second, lol....

if your lookin to pretty it up just sand and buff the fenders you can get a fine grit paper anywhere like walmart just make sure to use 1000 grit or higher it will clean up the plastic pretty nice

i think a grand may be a little high i would think you could get maybe $750-800 for it but it all depends on the buyer, and what else its sitting next to in the classifieds. there are x's around here selling for $300 and up so its a crap shoot. but that is a nice 200x you have there.

Here is a very good link for restoring your plastic.
