Troll 2

I picked up a early 70's "ruppster" go-cart/dune-buggy thing. I', the third owner, its in good shape, just need tlc. It has a factory tube frame, skid plates, rear disc brake, a centifical snowmoble type clutch, seating for two, roll cage, ect...
Originally came with a 230cc two-stroke, the secondary cluch is attached directly to the rear diff.... I also just picked up a early 70's polaris 340cc air-cooled twin cyl two-stroke. I took the engine out with the elec system. It has good compression, just needs carb work. It should bolt in well.
It should be a fun project..........................................: D

A little more reviving on the Ruppster . Tore it down and sand-blasted/painted the frame. The completly overhauled the rear diff. Put in all new bearings and new rear wheel bearings. Then rebuilt the centrifical clutch;

Then the front steering got reworked. I bored the pivots out to the next size over, replace the bolts, repacked the front wheel bearings, ect;

Blasted the wheels and painted them, got it to a roller now. Will be reworking the r&p steering and other stuff soon....................................:lala:

I'm hoping to get the twin cyl two-stroke on. Just need to figure out how to cool it? Hmmm...... It would be a blast:fire:
Heres a pic of the body after it got polished and diamond plated some of it;

I went to plan "B". The twin cyl. two-stroke is out. I went with the engine it came with. Its a single cyl. four-stoke, but has fan forced air cooling, electric start, and is reliable.
Had to rebuild the starter, carb, master cyl., clean the valves, ect....:shrug:

I redid it seat and painted the floor with truck bed liner.

Added side pads, rebuilt the steering, and reworked the controls.

Added roll-bar padding, lights, and repaired the rear bodywork.

It runs great so far, no real problems. Its been a long time since this thing has ran. I talked to the original owner today. He's exited to see it again, he bought it new in 1971.
Action pictures will be next.............................................. .....:D
