View Full Version : Carbs for ATC70
I have been told that the newer xr carbs are a big increase over the stock atc70 carbs. is this true. This did not come from a reliable source. Also what other upgrades are there for this machine. I am going to do a upgrade to this machine and want to get all parts before i even start,.
also what is a good exhaust to use. the only thing i have found is a cobra and i really am not much for those. If anyone has nice parts i will buy or trade for them.

If you really want to upgrade, go ta a brand new lifan engine. You can use the electric start or convert a kick start to a pull start. And you have your choice or manual or automatic clutch. For less than $350 shipped, I received a manual clutch, 125cc, kick start engine with a big cam and carb brand new. I made my pull start conversion and when I pickup a couple electric connectors, I will have the bike all wired and ready to go. It is a bolt in for a 70. Everything is new. The 70 footpegs will fit the engine. It's really the way to go. You don't have to send anything out to get bored, find gaskets, make sure you got the right parts or anything like that. I'm not sure why more people don't do this. And you can have electric start if you want. As far as exhausts, people are using the big 50 exhausts from pitbikes. Cobras aren't the greatest, but they are cheap and plentiful. Not many places are making 70 exhausts so most people are modifying pit bike pieces. Good luck. I will try and post some pics of the suspension 70 with the 125 engine over the 4 day holiday. Please remember that these are the initial assembly pics and will be a little more detailed out on final assembly.
i was looking at the 125 lifans but i didnt want that big of an engine. i did look at the 85cc lifan kit which i might do. i have decided i want to stay with a honda motor though. I like the thought of hoping up the 70 besides going and getting a biggermotor. it just feels more right.
I picked up that hooker exhaust. I think it will go nice with the upgrade. Thanks for the heads up
