front or rear?

Hello all,
Is it better to replace the front or the rear sprocket when going down in size?
Any pros or cons of either that i should know about? Thanks, Dave

front 1 tooth = like 5/6 rear

:crazy: :lol: its more like 1 in the front = 3 in the rear. Going down 1 in the front will give you more torque, going down 1 in the rear will give you more top speed, less torque.
