Well went for my first "full ride" on the Z today, naticed while i was riding, three was a slight knocking sound, and the clutch was a little whacky slipping it high speeds, and it wasnt like a wind out slip it felt more like three was teeth missing off a gear inside. and when i got home i drained the bottom end, and all this crappy oil and then water, came out. Also i took the stator cover off and there was water in that aswell. i pressure tested the bottom end and there was no leaking into the stator cover so it must be seperate. What I was wonderin was..how did the water get in the bottom end? I did go through a big huge puddle that covered the engine. would it have been sucked through the trans breather tube? the engine is very fresh and the gaskets are good. Except i think the stator cover gasket might be crap, because it was wet inside. Any suggestions? I dont want to ruin this bike, its the nicest one i have!

Sounds Like you blew your first mechanical seal in the water pump!!!!
Is the rad fluid LOW?
the crankcase breather tube is to releave pressure in the case, It never sucks in.

By all means I am not a 2stroke guy.. Maybe take a look at this here thread. to find something useful... This is what it will look like if you got water in your bottom end.

I'm going to bet on some kind of seal or gasket gone bad. The trans breather tube would have to sit underwater for a long time to get any significant amount of water in it.

Rad fluid is perfect, full right up to the top, checked all lines and everything, was definalty water, not coolant. if a gasket was bad, wouldnt it leak oil out, if water was gettin in? cuz it doesnt leak a drop of oil.

the breather tube will allow water in-
its water guys, it flows like air-1 dunk and it could have a lot in it
especially if the motor stalls while in the water
im always worried about that , i am goin to run my vent hose up as far as i can
with a filter of some kind on it as soon as i can - because i like playing in water lol
