Lighting coil wire broke.

I have a 88 tecate 4 stator system but under the mag there is a broken copper wire. Can I just sodder them back together? or as long as they wont come apart its still good?

go ahead and solder it back for "now" but in the mean time look for a new one. It sucks when you havening a good time and somthing that you dident replace fails again with nothing to fix it with. Also soleringlast long so i wouldent worry about it, but new is always good.

Does a lighting or ignition coild work the same?
As in do the wires have to be connected? Thats a real stupid question And I will be soldering it back to gether.
