Are the 81-82, 83-84 front brakes calipers the same?

I think, they look really close, the brackets are different, but the caliper is almost a match. I have 84r front end and I got a air cooled front caliper for it, but it didn't fit(it was 82r), then I got a 84 one. I don't know where the 82r one is, I ended up using a 86 200x caliper(I was one bike, as I put a 84r front end/350x tripples) in the meantime and I am not sure where the 84r is.
