Ive searched the topic and have gotten so many different suggestions as to what shade of red to use. Since I dont own a spray gun, Im relying on the ole rattle can. The local auto store(Advance Auto) does sell the good stuff, and it has worked very well for me in the past. Does anyone have a perfect match paint to use?
Also, what shade of black matches the factory black on the frame? I realize that may sound dumb, but since there are different shades of black, I want to choose the best one suited.
Thanks!

I was gonna ask when I needed to paint to Diesel. Since its going to be my DD(and chick magnent :naughty: ), I need to get some paint on there quick since it will be forever before I get my own setup.
On topic:
The only plastic part I plan to paint is the headlight shell since its faded on the top a little. The frame isnt a glossy black?
Ill try to stop in Advance and see what theyve got. Thanks!

Ok, I got the frame done. I just used Dupli-Color Gloss Black. Im always impressed with what these spray cans can do. It looks really good! One can-o-primer and 2 coats(cans) of black.
I browsed through the selection at Advance and found 'Bright Red' to be the closest match to the Honda red.
Ill know once I shoot some on the spare(rusted and dented) tank, and compare shades.

Plasti-Kote engine enamel in Ford red #206 is a real good match and holds up very well. I have used it quite a bit and it's real hard to tell it apart from OEM.
