Nice X man, looks really clean. I noticed that you have a twist on it, how is that working out for you and how do you like it? Is it easy to get used to? I'm wonderin because I've been thinkin about doin this to my 350x. ;)

the twist is definitely something to get used to... im more of a thumb guy but the twist is starting to grow on me and a nice change from the norm.. you can get a nice setup from dennis kirk, and they arent very expensive.. i would give one a shot!!

I think I will buy one once I get my HMF slip-on for my bike, I am getting tired of the old thumb throttle and I'm also looking for a new challenge. I bet once you get used to the twist it probably provides a lot better throttle response than a stock thumb assembly. I'll be finding out whether or not thats true sooner or later! :beer

Very nice X indeed. Looks like it has a lot of time and care invested in it!
On the throttle note, I bought a twister for the Warrior, and one came on the Z. I got rid of them both. I liked to concept, but enjoyed the control that I felt over the Thumbers more. For me, its just a more solid feel. Just my .02$

And I always thought it was odd to have a thumb throttle on a tike? :wondering

thanks a lot guys for the replies... im so happy that my trike is where it is.. when bought it last summer you probably wouldnt have given it a chance.. it has a +4 axle, yfz450 hubs, newer plastics, refinished gas tank, new moose bars, fresh re-upholstered seat, k&n, xr200 cam, motor has been completely gone over, full dg exhaust, new grips, and i think thats about it.. it took some time and money but it was all worth it.. i got pretty good deals on most of the stuff, and just knowing that i saved one from the junk pile made it all worth it!!!:w00t: :w00t:
