Anyone remember the project DirtWheels did years ago, project TRX600R? It was a XR600R motor in a TRX250R style chassis and it ripped! I had the mag with the project in it but its long gone.
Anyone have some pics or more detailed info on this machine?
Itching for a new project to follow my T5 and something else to ride since the 500 is gonna be "hers." (think shes more excited about me finishing it then I am):beer

It is going to be the g/f's machine for her to ride while I'm in Alberta working. When she first saw it she instantly exclaimed "I love it!" Since then I've taken her on countless rides and let her ride it on the beach. Told her when I finish it its all hers. Shes stoked about racing all the guys with it.
I think the 600R would be more suited to my riding then the 500 Tecate. The 500 is going to be more of a fun to own/ride machine. It doesn't handle "with ease" the way a quad does on fast rough trails/fast roads. I'll be starting work in Alberta at a camp job this coming June so I'll be buying parts and sending them home to get this project rolling.
Mind is made up, I know my next project.

Electric start! Yes! Wish Honda would build this thing and put reverse on it.

I want it! Maybe a KTM 640 instead of the XR?

I'm building a TRX650L right now. I have a 01 400ex w/extra frame and I'm putting a NX-650 in it's the same as a XR-650L motor. I've cut my motor mounts and I'm trying to get the rear end lined up. my swing arm bolt is stuck in the 400s frame so I will be needing a new one before I can go on as I'll have to cut it out. I bought a front head pipe from a xr650l and it looks stock the motor is sitting in the frame and looks very nice. I plan on selling the extras when I'm done. I built a 500x it was a 250x with a ft-500 honda ascot motor and it had lots of mud slinging power put I came across this NX-650 motor so I sold it to start this. If honda wont make it I will have too. it has been my dream for about ten years.now I'm very close to having my TRX650L KONG will live soon.!! I would love to put this on my quad but I don't want them to know what it is.let me know if you can help. I need a 400ex swing arm bolt and NX-650 wiring parts.?? if I knew how to do it. Thanks Chas
