well i went riding. i had some good fun till my engine locked up. but now it turns over almost perfect however it wont start back up. i will be checking for spark after work to see if timing jumped. if timing jumped im thinking that i threw the rod and that would have caused the engine to lock up and cause timing to jump.
i need input.
please help me

i dont know it jams up every 2-3 pulls. kinda like the rod or something is catching on something. also can feel a little drag. the oil is good thats the first thing i checked.

well i looked today. the cam seized up and jumped timing. so i need a good cam and rockers because the rockers have gouges the size of the grand canyon and so does the cam.
do you guys have any good products in mind?

well make sure it didn't ruin the head!!! theres no cam berrings,(bad bad idea from honda)- if its bad youll need a different head ,and rocker cover!
i got a web cam 89a and love it- bad thing they returned my cam core:mad: so i know thell return yours-- 60.00 i wanted back-
check ebay there are some on there now , i suggest a racier cam though --youll love it compared to the stock junk:beer

you probabley arent getting oil flow to your cylinder head. there should be a screw that you can loosen to check if out comes out..but since your came and rockers are toast...fix it and then check oil flow.

well first thing is first. i cant find a cam enywhere under 180.00 so i think its going to be a while before i think about riding again let alone buying the cam. if anyone knows where i can get one for less than 180.00 shoot me a link please.

The good thing about that engine is there are stock aftermarket replacements. Check this one I found on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/84-86-ATC200S-Camshaft-Hi-Performance-Cam-ATC-200S_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43977QQhashZitem26 0048396620QQihZ016QQitemZ260048396620QQrdZ1QQsspag enameZWDVW
Good luck with your project. At least used parts are plentiful for your engine, you should have it up and running in no time and for a reasonable cost.
