81 250R rear axle question

Buying an 81 250R next month the guy says it has a bent rear axle..Is there any other bike or year this will fit off of ? Not to many R's floating around where im at and dont know how hard it will be to find the exact axle for it..........:wondering

A 200x axel might work. BTW I would bet that the axel is not the only thing that is bent!!!!! I bent a axel on a 85 250r and craked the bearing carrier too. I threw everything in the garbage and bought new. The frame where the swingarm bolt could be bent. It appears that it isn't the strongest flange.

81s were drum rear brakes and I think only an 81 will fit, someone will post layer I am sure. I have a 81 Durablue +6 axle out in the garage I will check it with a 200x and see if it would work.

Yep only a 81 axle will fit....82R can use 185s and 200e axles but the 81R you need the proper 81R axle ........
